There are several apps available that will allow you to stream live from your mobile or tablet. One such third party app is called Larix Broadcaster and it is free on both the iOS app store and Google play.
Streaming from Larix on Apple or Android
- Setup your Cloudmix event and copy the RTMP address from a live input (see here for more information)
- On the Larix application go to the settings menu and select "Connections" and add a new connection and paste the RTMP url and stream name from Cloudmix **NB Larix wants you to append the stream name to the end of the RTMP url IE rtmp://cloudmix_url/inputxx/stream_name
- In the Larix video settings make sure the FPS matches the same frame rate of your Cloudmix event
Larix allows you to play around with on their app under "Settings" in the app. Depending on your internet speeds, adjusting for resolution and FPS may be necessary. 1080p 30fps streaming requires a bit rate of 4000 minimum while 720p 30fps lets you stream with 2500 at the lowest.
