If you can't see your live input in Cloudmix then here are some things to try:
- Check the input RTMP URL and Stream names match - See here for more information
- Check the network connection at the encoder
- Check the encoder settings to make sure they match below:
- Video profile: H264 or H265
- Audio profile: AAC, 48Khz
- Key Frame interval: 2 sec
Bitrate Recommendations:
Server Quality | Resolution | Video Bitrate | Audio Bitrate |
720 | 1280x720 | 1,500 - 4,000 kbps | 128 kbps |
1080 | 1920x1080 | 4,000 - 8,000 kbps | 196 kbps |
See if you can play the input
- Download an application called VLC https://www.videolan.org/vlc/
- Copy the RTMP input URL and stream name into VLC (Open network stream)
- If you can see the feed in VLC then you should be able to see it in the Cloudmix control room. Try refreshing the control room page, but if that does not fix the problem then please create a support ticket.
- If you can't see the input video in VLC then this points to a local issue so check the following:
- Local network connection
- Local firewall blocks
- Encoder configuration
Cloudmix Server Stats
You can view detailed statistics about your Cloudmix server by going into the control room and clicking the "Server Stats" button in the top right of the interface.
Clicking on the row for each input will show ingress information about each live input. This can help with trouble shooting by showing information about the bitrate, codec, and resolution in real time.
